My name is Meaghan Marques and I’m extremely passionate about community building.

I decided to build Roam after attending a conference where so many women were wishing they had a way to find people like them easily there. This is after years of wishing there was an alternative to BumbleBFF. A global platform where you can be the tour guide of your city, or meet up with someone in a totally new one.

This community is passionate about making connections and understands how difficult that is in modern day. Bars used to be a great place to make friends, now they’re littered with groups who aren’t interested in adding one more. Not to mention not everyone wants to hang out in a bar.

With Roam you can find a friend who’s similar to you and wants to do similar actvities with you! We decipher those two concepts because not everyone who likes museums will get along. That’s not enough. We use AI to make sure our recommendations go deeper than the surface level.
